MLK Apartments

Indianapolis, Indiana 2015

Program:

22 market rate apartment units that stand adjacent to an historic neighborhood and the downtown cultural trail pedestrian way.  The building is organized on an east-west orientation with the trail way on the southern end of the building.  Stylisically neutral the design of the building evokes a simple bungalow style.  The trim detail is created through the use of digital sampling and patterns created from existing historic architectural fabric from the neighborhood.  Cnc router fabrication techniques will be used to ultimately make the patterning work.
