Invited artist to the exhibition entitled "Supply and Demand" by Art+Space, curated by Kathryn Armstrong, Anne Surak, and Lauren Zoll.
Drawing from the history of the Superior Distributing building on Fort Wayne Avenue in Indianapolis as a hardware supply store and warehouse, selected artists were offered access to the vacant building to design and build individual art installations.
"Counterbalance" is an interactive installation derived from the duality of economic forces, an expression of stability in a constant state of two sides relying on each other for static conditions. Inspired from the dynamic action of a pivoting lever, scale, or see-saw, "Counterbalance" reminds us of our own individual involvement and societal contribution to economic fluctuations.
